Southeastern Cancer Care Grant Program
Southeastern Cancer Care was founded in 2011 by a group of oncology practitioners who recognized the need for assistance in the community. Many cancer patients were forced to discontinue treatments due to the financial burden of transportation costs, so the doctors took action to address the issue. Their vision was to make sure that every patient had complete access to cancer treatment while reducing the financial burden that comes with a cancer diagnosis.
Since our inception, Southeastern Cancer Care has helped over 2,000 patients in Eastern North Carolina with essential support. Our assistance goes beyond transportation and includes nutrition, housing, utility expenses, and medication. The goal is to remove any financial barriers to accessing care, no matter what the patient's financial situation is. With this all-in approach, we have made an important, positive difference in the lives of as many as 400+ cancer patients per year. And we look forward to growing our funding and maintaining our 100% commitment to helping cancer patients in need.
If you have a cancer diagnosis, are on treatment, and living in Wayne, Onslow, or Sampson county, we encourage you to apply to our assistance program. We also welcome donations and volunteer help from friends, loved ones, concerned individuals, and groups or businesses who share our commitment to helping the people of Eastern North Carolina.
